앤디 깁은 그룹 비지스 (Bee Bees) 를 형들로 둔 Gibb家의 막내로 가수가 되기전 불량서클 스킨헤드갱 단원으로 말썽쟁이였는데 비지스의 큰형 배리 깁이 앤디에게 음악을 권하게 되었고 이를 받아 들인 앤디는 Ibiza 섬 연안의 관광클럽에서 어린나이로 노래를 하다가 75년 호주로 돌아와 작사작곡한 노래를 싱글로 발표하여 76년 시드니 뮤직차트 탑5에 오르며 인기가수로서의 첫발을 내 디디게 되었다. 'Shadow Dancing'은 78년 빌보드 싱글차트 넘버1에 오른 곡이다
